The Event Rules

The event will be governed by the rules of the R&A, the only exceptions being those areas where Zimbali Country Club local rules apply.

The on-site tournament referee will have final say on all matters relating to the rules and the scoring format.

Should there be a tie after 27 holes of play in the Individual and Betterball competitions, a countout will take place over the back 9 holes to determine the winner.

In the event of inclement weather curtailing play, a minimum of 18 holes will need to be completed on the same day to determine a winner.

All players to play off official handicaps, which will be adjusted to 75% of the full handicap for all competitions.

All handicaps will be verified two weeks in advance of the event.

A maximum handicap of 18 is allowed.

Please ensure that all divots are filled with sand and that all pitch marks ar repaired.

Clothing exchanges

Should you need to exchange any of your players’ kit for a different size, please make your way to the tournament desk in the hotel lobby or the tournament office.

Non-playing V.I.P. guests

Friday, 13 June: We would like to welcome our non-playing guests to a specially curated gifting experience in the King Protea Room where light lunch will be served.

Saturday, 14 June: We invite you to join our golfers for post golf drinks and snacks at the Zimbali club house from approximately 14h00.

Sunday, 15 June: Please join us at the Zimbali club house from approximately 14h00 for the prize-giving ceremony which will be broadcast live on SuperSport from the 18th green.

Late check-out & extra

Please note that room service, telephone calls, spa treatments and laundry will be for your personal account to be settled upon check-out on Sunday. If you would prefer a late check-out on Sunday morning, please arrange this directly with the hotel ahead of time. Please be aware that the cost for your late check-out will be for your own account and will not be covered by the tournament.

Flights & Transfers

Sunday early morning check-out details will be confirmed throughout the weekend.
Shuttle transfers and flight concierge is located at the hotel reception desk. You may also contact Sam Jones on 083 234 4709 for any flight queries and Christo Harmse on 078 451 7977 for any transfer queries. Please note that any changes to booked flights will be for your own account.

Transfers to Zimbali Estate: You will be welcomed at King Shaka airport by an event representative who will direct you to your complimentary transfer to Zimbali.

Transfers to King Shaka airport: Airport shuttles will commence from 16h30 onwards on Sunday afternoon departing from the Capital Hotel Zimbali.
