Ryder Cup Team Event
The focal point of the competition is the Ryder Cup Team Competition, pitting Team Absa against Team SuperSport. Over the course of the two-day tournament, the teams engage in a dynamic blend of Betterball and Singles formats. The team that amasses the highest point total by the conclusion of Sunday’s play will claim the championship title. In the event of a tie, the teams will jointly hold the title, emphasizing the spirit of shared achievement and sportsmanship. -
Individual
Running concurrently, there is an Individual nett medal competition played over 27 holes, with a triple bogey being the maximum score possible on any one particular hole. -
Betterball
A Betterball nett medal, with a triple bogey being the maximum score possible on any one particular hole, runs parallel to the Team event and the Individual competition. Winners of the Individual and Betterball competitions are determined by the best cumulative scores over the 36 holes of play, with a count-out on the back 9 in the event of ties.
Q: Can spectators attend?
A: Zimbali Estate home owners are welcome to join us at the club house viewing deck on Sunday to watch the four balls come in and to join us in the televised prize giving on the 18th green. Spectators are NOT ALLOWED on the golf course during the tournament.
